This bike was made by Ivan Boyko, resident of Yaremche in the early 20th century. After his death the bicycle was handed over to the regional museum. That’s why it remained in perfect working condition.
As we know from historical archives, in summer of 1911 the first documented bicycle moving through the Carpathians took place. Austrian cycling enthusiast traveled from Delyatyn to Rakhiv crossing the pass of Yablunytsa which is the highest in the Carpathians.
