Since 2010, we have been arranging private tours for foreign tourists in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Years of experience have given us an understanding of what our guests want. We are therefore trying to adapt the local reality so that our clients feel as comfortable here as at home.

Travel Itinerary

Group: 40 people

Duration: one day (around 7 hours in total)

Location: Verkhovyna

The group arrives to Verkhovyna and we start from the Museum of music instruments. This is more than just an ordinary boring museum. It’s always an improvisation. You will get lots of new and curious details about the life of Hutsuls, their holidays and original art. (1 hour)

During this day we will use GAZ 66, Soviet lorry 4×4, an adequate vehicle for the local roads. We’ll drive about 30 min on the mountains.

Our next stop will be a house of a real Hutsul family. It’s a great chance to see a life of real Hutsuls in true colors. Our guests will see their garden, where they keep cattle, pigs, chickens, horses, sheep, bees … how they prepare food, where they smoke meat, what a typical Hutsul cellar looks like etc. You will have a shot of moonshine and a sandwich. In addition, you can buy a homemade stew or fat. Taking pictures in Hutsul clothes etc. (1 hour)

We will drive about 20 min to our next stop and it will be…

Traditional Hutsul lunch accompanied by a concert of Hutsul music. Great location with beautiful mountain views. Our lunch menu contains the best local food cooked on fire: lamb barbeque (shashlik), shurpa (lamb vegetable soup), banosh (maize porridge cooked with sour cream), mushrooms in sour cream, sliced vegetables, cheese and cold cuts, moonshine and local liqueurs. All this delicacy under accompaniment of instrumental music – private performance of Carpathian folk musicians. (2 hours)

The lorries will get us to the center of Verkhovyna in about 30 min. The end.
